Welcome to another ChefMD® video blog! This week we’re working on how to be “deceptively delicious” when cooking for someone.
Why should you be deceptive sometimes? Here’s a good example: Gail from Greensboro, North Carolina, wrote to me and told me about her son. He has a disdain for any kind of vegetable, which Gail thinks may contribute to obesity.
Fortunately, he does like my healthy sirloin meatloaf with spaghetti sauce. There are ways to add nutritious foods to this recipe that will “sneak in” some health benefits. Want to find out how? Check out my video above.
Got a question? By all means, send it to me on our contact page. I’ll get back to you personally and I may share it in a future blog.
Cent’anni! May you live a hundred years!

You already know ChefMD® offers a ton of great recipes, but sometimes it’s hard to know where to find some of the ingredients. Our Question of the Week comes from Lynn in Seattle, who’s having trouble finding chipotle chilis in abodo sauce.
Well, Lynn, Seattle’s a long way from Mexico, but your local ethnic grocer’s probably done the footwork for you already. Online sources include ethnicgrocer.com and mexicangrocer.com.
Watch this week’s blog for the rest of the details – including how chipotles are made (hint: they start out as jalapeños.)

We’ve all been told that “we need our protein.” Protein builds muscle and contributes to healthy body tissue. They’re basically organic compounds of amino acids essential for our body’s health.
Some people, however, are on a low-protein diet for one reason or another. Kidney disease is one reason, because too much protein puts undue stress on kidneys.
Steve from York, PA is facing this exact situation and needs help finding the right mix of foods that will him follow a low-protein diet. I have some great tips for him, and for you too – just click “play” above and watch!
Got a question or comment? By all means, send it to me on our contact page. I’ll try to answer your question…and it could wind up on a future blog.
